Alright....quick question....Just signed up at Moneybookers. There last confirmation screen was something to the effect of "It is moneybookers policy to not allow US residents to transfer money to gambling sites. If this is not your intention continue."

Now I know Neteller had a statement similar to this at one point and time and it was more to just cover their ass. Does anyone know, is this the same thing? Has anyone used Moneybookers? I just don't want to depostit money in their and then not get it to where i want it to go and waste my time and whatever fee they charge. Anybody have any info?

thanks...

This is utter bs. There is nothing on the WSEX website that says Moneybookers is not serving US customers. I sent in a credit card deposit to Moneybookers and it went through fine.....but I can't get it in to WSEX.

I called WSEX and the CSR agreed that the website is misleading and I think they will fix it.....and they are supposedly calling Moneybookers on my behalf to get them to cancel the CC deposit. I also sent an e-mail to Moneybookers. They do not have a toll free number.

I guess shit like this is going to be pretty common for awhile. Hopefully WSEX (a class act for the last decade) will take care of this. Meanwhile I strongly advise US folks to steer clear of Moneybookers. They WILL accept your deposit !!! But they will NOT fund your offshore account with your money !!!

Zap I had this same situation about a year ago.
The one thing that was positive is that I requested a check from money bookers and had it quickly (4-6 days) and my bank cleared it in 2 days.
At least it didn't take me a month to get my money out of there.

n1h.......

The problem isn't that it's CC money. The problem is that they don't allow americans to use their service to deposit to sportsbooks.

We are hereby contacting you in regards to your payment history with moneybookers. We have noticed that you are regularly sending your xxxxx payouts to US citizens. We would like to remind you that under US law, it is forbidden for US citizens to receive profits from gaming activities; therefore we would like to kindly ask you to adjust your payments accordingly. We will monitor your payment history in the future and should you continue to send your gaming payouts to US users, we will have no other choice, but to suspend your account.
